In Greco-Roman wrestling, Uzbekistan’s Elmurat Tasmuradov (60 kg) has successfully passed the preliminary stage and received the right to fight for a bronze.
At the last qualifying stage, he opposed Victor Ciobanu from Moldova and became the winner. Now, he will compete for the prize.
Another athlete from Uzbekistan Jalgasbay Berdimuratov (up to 77 kg) also won Olympics license.
J. Berdimuratov started the championships with a victory over Vladimir Yakovlev from Ukraine. Then, he defeated Paulius Galkinas from Lithuania and received the right to fight for a bronze. This victory secured his license to Tokyo. Now, he will compete with Askhat Dilmukhamedov.
