Nigora Tursunkulova becomes winner of Taekwondo Grand Prix Tournament

According to the Press Service of WT Taekwondo Association of Uzbekistan, young athlete Nigora Tursunkulova, despite the defeat in the semifinal match, performed quite successfully. For the final, she fought with France’s Magda Wiet Henin. Nigora even confidently led the score on points 3:0, but the opponent at the end of the third round equalized the chances. And three seconds before the end of the decisive fourth round, she was able to record her winning point and reached the final. Thus, Nigora Tursunkulova won her first medal among taekwondo athletes at the Grand Prix Tournament.
Together with the award, she received points for winning the Olympic license. Prior to this, N. Tursunkulova was in the 16th with 188.12 points.
Thanks to this victory, she got 14.4 rating points and went up several steps.
