Tashkent hosted the First Forum of participants of international scientific and technical projects and scientific internships “Uzbekistan – Belarus”.

15 joint scientific-technical projects worth 7.4 billion soums are approved between the Ministry of Innovative Development and the State Committee on Science and Technology of the Republic of Belarus, within the framework of bilateral scientific and technical cooperation. Two joint research laboratories will be organized in higher education institutions of Uzbekistan.

The participants of the forum shared their practical experience gained in the Republic of Belarus in such areas as energy-saving technologies, technologies of geographic information systems, immunobiology, modern methods of medical diagnostics, and others.

New proposals and developments based on international scientific internships were forwarded at the event.

One of the innovative developments of the Head of Department of Electric Machines of Tashkent State Technical University named after Islam Karimov, Olimjon Toirov, is aimed at increasing the efficiency of energy use in the automation system that provides heating using infrared rays. This system is designed to create a microclimate in buildings and meets the requirements of modern innovative technologies.

When using this development for heating buildings, energy consumption will be reduced by half compared with the existing heating system. Moreover, its use in greenhouses will have a good impact on the quality of products and on increasing yields.
