It was revealed that there is a shortage of more than 11 thousand physicians in the country. Therefore, at the initiative of the President of our country, 80 percent of more than 3 thousand bachelors were involved in primary medical unit in order to improve the personnel provision.

Both achievements and shortcomings were discussed at the meeting devoted to current issues in medical sphere that was held on December 12, 2017, under the chairmanship of the Head of our state. In particular, personnel problems that exist in primary link of the healthcare system, insufficient provision of medical institutions with specialists at places were analyzed in the context of the regions.

This was discussed at the event on “Physician’s oath” with participation of graduates of the 7th year of the bachelor’s degree and the 2nd year of clinical residency of Tashkent Pediatric Medical Institute.

The final state certification of graduates of the 7th year of the bachelor’s degree and the 2nd year of clinical residency of 2017/2018 academic year of Tashkent Pediatric Medical Institute was held from January 2 to January 6, 2018. This year, 407 students have graduated the “Medical profession”, “Professional education” and “Pediatric profession” directions, and 97 students the clinical residency.

A need for medical personnel was revealed within a month, in cooperation with the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Karakalpakstan, regional and Tashkent city healthcare departments on a regional, district and hospital scale. Based on this need, all graduates of medical higher education institutions were employed in medical institutions in their specialty, at the place of permanent residence. Today, they have begun their activities.
