Worthiest advisers identified in “Turkiston” palaceNeighbourhoods’ role is incomparable in bringing up young people to be good and respectful and in ensuring families’ unity and peace and the stability of society’s healthy moral climate. Neighbourhoods’ advisers for religious enlightenment and moral-behavioural education issues make a big contribution to work in this area.
In the capital city’s “Turkiston” palace, the Tashkent city phase of the “most exemplary adviser of neighbourhood citizens’ gatherings for religious enlightenment and moral-behavioural education issues” contest has been held.
D.Mirzajonova, deputy chairperson of the Mahalla (neighbourhood) republican public charity foundation; D.Mirtojiyev, chairman of the Tashkent city department of the foundation; and others have said that active and competent women work in positions of neighbourhoods’ advisers for religious enlightenment and moral-behavioural education issues and that they can have a positive effect on such issues as the development of exemplary national religious traditions and the popularization of a healthy lifestyle among people, especially young people.
A Presidential decree dated 3 February 2017 on measures to further improve the mahalla institution is an important factor in expanding the scale of work in this area.
Today there are 505 advisers working effectively in the capital city. Their participation in large-scale reform processes in localities is increasing. Advisers studied the socio-moral atmosphere in nearly 47 thousand families in the capital city in the past period of this year. And they helped to solve various problems in families and prevented early marriages.
This contest makes it possible to examine large-scale work being done by advisers within their remit, to encourage them and give awards to them.
In the district stages of the contest, 491 advisers for religious enlightenment and moral-behavioural education issues participated. 11 advisers participated in the Tashkent city phase of the contest.
In the first part of the contest, advisers gave presentations about their work in their areas, its results and work experience. Then a question- and-answer session took place to evaluate contest participants’ worldview and knowledge about dealing with various issues and problems. Then their eloquence was tested.
Muhabbat Jamoliddinova, adviser for religious enlightenment and moral-behavioural education issues of the “Dostlik’ neighbourhood citizens’ gathering in Sergeli district achieved first place and obtained the right to participate in the republican phase of the contest.
“Through participation in this contest, not only our knowledge and experience were tested but we also got important awareness about the use of advanced work methods in practice,” says Muhabbat Jamoliddinova.
