Which ministries and agencies will move to Nurafshan?

During the visit of the President of Uzbekistan to Tashkent region in January 2018, instructions were given on transferring regional offices of ministries, agencies, economic management bodies, commercial banks and organizations to Nurafshan city. After a year and three months, about 20 offices of ministries and agencies have not moved to Nurafshan.

At the nineteenth plenary session of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, attention has been paid to this issue.

– The study of this situation showed that relocation of such structures as departments of tax, finance, statistics, employment and labor relations, public education, health, veterinary control has not been carried out, – says the Chairman of the Senate N. Yuldoshev. – This creates difficulties for regional khokimiyat, and is an artificial obstacle to timely solving problems in the spheres for which these structures are directly responsible.

There are problems in Tashkent region in providing employment. Currently, about 15 800 jobs remain vacant. How do the responsible persons explain the availability of such a large number of jobs in the region adjacent to the capital? Do they not notice people looking for a job many years?!

It is also of concern that there are many problems in public services, water supply, roads, healthcare, education and other spheres in Tashkent region in comparison with other regions.

Just one example: 60 percent of the region's population is not covered by waste treatment and disposal services.

65 percent of internal roads, 63 percent of water supply networks need repair, which in turn requires explanation of responsible persons of ministries and agencies.
