Turkmenistan hosted a regular meeting of the working groups of the Joint Uzbekistan – Turkmenistan Intergovernmental Commission on Delimitation and Demarcation of the State Border between the Republic of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan, in Turkmenabad.

On August 24-30, 2019, Turkmenistan hosted a regular meeting of the working groups of the Joint Uzbekistan – Turkmenistan Intergovernmental Commission on Delimitation and Demarcation of the State Border between the Republic of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan, in Turkmenabad.

At the event, the delegations agreed on the passage of the project demarcation line in separate sections of Uzbekistan – Turkmenistan State border and finalized the draft normative-legal and technical documents on border demarcation.

Demarcation activities carried out by the parties on the joint State border were also agreed at the meeting.

Following the talks, the heads of the delegations of Uzbekistan – Tulkin Abdullayev and Turkmenistan – Mamed Mamedov signed the corresponding Protocol.

The meeting was held in a traditionally warm and friendly atmosphere.
