During the visit, representatives of the State Committee for Geology and Mineral Resources of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Almalyk MMC and Uzmetkombinat JSCs visited Shohkadambulak Iron Ore Deposit in Tajikistan.
Uzmetkombinat representatives held negotiations and meetings with importers within the framework of the business forum. As a result, export contracts worth more than $17 million were signed.
It should be noted that the volume of exports of the plant's products to Tajikistan market has increased 20 times over the past three years. In particular, multi-storey buildings were built in Dushanbe from metal products produced at Uzmetkombinat JSC. More than ten more houses are currently under construction.
Long-term export contracts and agreements were also signed during the negotiations for supplying steel enameled tableware, hardware products and basalt slabs. To this end, representatives of the plant and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tajikistan conducted a marketing study on the sale of their products in the markets of Dushanbe. As a result, it was clarified that the sale of many types of products in the neighboring country may be increased in the future.
