Uzbekistan opens a general education school in Osh
The parliamentary delegation led by the Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan N.Yuldoshev visited the Republic of Kyrgyzstan.
Within the framework of the visit, members of the delegation met with the Chairman of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic D.Djumabekov. At the meeting, the sides discussed issues of strengthening friendly relations, including inter-parliamentary cooperation between Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan.
Following the meeting, the sides expressed their confidence in consistent continuation and development of mutually beneficial relations between the two countries on the basis of principles of good-neighborliness.
Members of the delegation also took part in the opening ceremony in Osh of a general education school built by Uzbekistan. This school is built in accordance with the intergovernmental agreement of Uzbekistan with Kyrgyzstan. The three-story school building with all modern facilities is designed for 630 seats. It also has a sports hall, an assembly hall, a medical center, a dining room and a summer sports complex.
It was noted that the implemented project is a worthy contribution of Uzbekistan people to development of good-neighborly relations, cultural and humanitarian ties between the two countries. In particular, the Chairman of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic D.Djumabekov emphasized that “the contribution to development of the sphere of education is the best investment in the future of the country. Construction of the school is a consistent step in development of Kyrgyzstan – Uzbekistan relations. Thanks to the support of fraternal Uzbekistan, 630 children of Kyrgyzstan got the opportunity to get education in a new general education institution”.
