Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan Government delegations hold talks
Tashkent hosted negotiations of the working groups and a meeting of the Government delegations of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Kyrgyz Republic on delimitation and demarcation of Uzbekistan – Kyrgyzstan State border.
On August 25-27, 2020, Tashkent hosted negotiations of the working groups and a meeting of the Government delegations of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Kyrgyz Republic on delimitation and demarcation of Uzbekistan – Kyrgyzstan State border.
The delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan was headed by the Advisor to the Prime Minister Mehriddin Khayriddinov, the delegation of the Kyrgyz Republic – by the Deputy Prime Minister Akram Madumarov.
During the talks, agreements were reached on the approval of the draft Definition of the State borderline, agreed by the working groups in 2017-2020. Issues on the opening of checkpoints on the border of the two countries were discussed.
Following the talks, the corresponding protocols were signed.
