A Cooperation Agreement was signed between Uzbekistan Journalists Creative Union and Journalists Association of Korea. Within the framework of this document, a group of mass media representatives led by the President of the Journalists Association of Korea Jung Kyu-sung arrived in Uzbekistan.

This practical event is aimed at further development of this sphere between the two countries.

Korean journalists visited the Association of Korean Cultural Centers and got acquainted with created conditions. Chairman of the Center Viktor Pak spoke about work with citizens of Uzbekistan of Korean nationality, their position in society, activities, shared his opinion about conditions created in the country for representatives of other nations and nationalities.

President of the Journalists Association of Korea Jung Kyu-sung and specialists of this sphere visited the editorial offices of Khalq suzi and Narodnoye slovo (People’s word) newspapers, met with journalists and a number of chief editors and journalists of print media. Korean colleagues, who came to develop and strengthen practical cooperation, spoke about activities of their media.

Guests were also informed about national information space, media products and print media’s activities. They spoke about the need for developing cooperation between mass media representatives of the two countries.

Korean journalists visited the Media Center of National Television and Radio Company of Uzbekistan. They also visited the University of Journalism and Mass Communications of Uzbekistan, where they got acquainted with training process and personnel training system.
