Today the partnership between the two countries is consistently developing in the sphere of public health as well. Indian cardio surgeons, neurosurgeons, neurologists, oncologists, hepatologists, orthopedists and other specialists conduct medical examinations in Tashkent, Bukhara, Samarkand and Fergana. Two-way exchange internships at clinics in both countries have been established.
Joint pharmaceutical ventures, such as Novafarm, Bravo Farm, Ultra Heath Care, Gufik Avicenna have been founded.
Consistent works on reforming the health system, improving maternal and child health, carried out under the leadership of President Islam Karimov, are highly appreciated by the international community. Uzbekistan is recognized as one of the world leaders in matters of concern for the health of the population. This is evidenced by the cooperation between the Indian medical institutions Apollo, Artemis, Medanta, Max, BLK and clinics of the Tashkent Medical Academy, Tashkent Medical Institute of Pediatrics, republican specialized medical centers, as well as trainings in 2015 for 30 cardiologists, orthopedists, pediatricians and other physicians of our country in India, where they took part in various seminars and conferences.
The Apollo clinic is one of the largest medical facilities in India. The clinic, equipped with modern equipment, provides medical services in more than 20 spheres, including cardiology, plastic surgery, neurology, spine neurosurgery, oncology and endocrinology.
Recently a group of journalists got acquainted with the activities of this clinic during a press-tour to India.
- I often visit Uzbekistan, - says physician-dermatologist of the Apollo clinic Munir Ahmad. - As a doctor, I have visited many countries around the world. I want to note that consistent works in the medical field, including strengthening of its material and technical base, are carried out in Uzbekistan. Indian and Uzbek doctors are working together on various projects, participate in joint surgery. The active exchange of experience and information between physicians in our countries, is useful for both sides.
The relations of Uzbekistan and India, based on friendship and mutual benefit will continue to develop.
