Uzbekistan in Worldwide Governance Indicators
Tashkent hosted an international roundtable discussion devoted to issues of improving Uzbekistan’s indicators in Worldwide Governance Indicators.
The event was organized by the Republican Interdepartmental Commission on Combating Corruption, the UNDP project “Preventing corruption through effective, accountable and transparent governance institutions in Uzbekistan” and Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The event is aimed at studying the essence and methodology of international ratings and their indicators, in particular, the Worldwide Governance Indicators.
At the event, experts noted that corruption indicators are an important source of data on factors that generate corruption at the international and national levels, and help to develop adequate anti-corruption measures.
Presentation and discussion of international ratings and their methodology were held at the event. Measures on improving Uzbekistan’s indicators in Worldwide Governance Indicators, judicial and anti-corruption reforms implemented in Uzbekistan were also presented.
The event became a platform for exchanging views on various issues of improving Uzbekistan’s indicators in Worldwide Governance Indicators.
