The Second Central Asian Radiation Oncology Congress CARO 2019 has kicked off in Tashkent.

Oncologists and radiologists from Belarus, Georgia, Germany, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Switzerland, Turkey, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, the United States and Uzbekistan are attending the event on “Adaptation problem of world radiotherapy experience in the clinical practice of Central Asia”.

At the opening ceremony of the congress, First Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhodir Yusupaliyev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to Uzbekistan Gunther Overfield and others noted that as a result of strengthening cooperation between the two states, international experience is being used. A striking example is the Central Asian Radiation Oncology Congress, in Tashkent.

The Congress is held in cooperation with the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Academy of Sciences, the Uventa Plus company, the OPASCA German Oncology Solutions GmbH, its subsidiary OPASCA GOS Central Asia in Tashkent and a number of organizations.

The events of the second day of the congress will be held in Tashkent region.
