Tashkent hosted the second meeting of Uzbekistan – EU Subcommittee on Cooperation Development.
The event, organized by the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan together with the Delegation of the European Union to Uzbekistan and the Central Asia, Middle East and South Asia Division of the European Commission, was attended by representatives of several ministries and agencies, public organizations.
The state of sectoral reforms and ongoing projects was discussed at the meeting. A number of projects and presentations aimed at developing cooperation with the European Union in the agricultural sector, prepared by responsible specialists of the ministries of water and agriculture, economy and industry, as well as the Agency for the implementation of projects in agriculture and food supply, were presented.
Reports of employees of the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Ecology and Environmental Protection and the State Committee for Industrial Safety were heard.
Following the event, a report on the implementation of projects within the framework of indicative cooperation program for 2014-2020 between Uzbekistan and the European Union was heard. The issue of developing an indicative program for 2021-2027 was considered.
