Uzbekistan establishes Anti-Corruption Agency
The Decree of the President “On additional measures to improve the anti-corruption system in the Republic of Uzbekistan” has been adopted.
In accordance with the Decree, the Anti-Corruption Agency has been established.
The Agency is an authorized state body responsible for formation and implementation of the state policy in preventing and combating corruption.
The Agency reports to the President and to the chambers of the Oliy Majlis.
The decree defines the main tasks and activities of the Agency. In particular, the Agency provides a systemic analysis of the state of corruption in the country.
The Agency conducts a comprehensive analysis of the results of the investigation of corruption crimes, primarily harmful to the national interests and international authority of Uzbekistan.
Agency warnings and appeals are subject to mandatory consideration with a written notice of the results of the consideration within ten days.
