Uzbekistan delegation composed of representatives of the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Economy and Industry, the State Statistics Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan visited Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Authority of the United Arab Emirates.

During the visit, the results of work of the two countries in collection of statistical reporting were analyzed, the best practices of the UAE were studied. The parties discussed the activities implemented in the sphere in recent years, exchanged views on current issues of the statistical system, on application of innovative methods of conducting a census, the integration of information systems of ministries and agencies, the launch of an open data portal, the use of new technologies for big data and the achievement of sustainable development goals.

Following the visit, an agreement was reached on cooperation between the State Statistics Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Authority of the United Arab Emirates.
