On September 16-19, 2019, a delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan led by Advisor to the Prime Minister, Minister of Energy Alisher Sultanov will attend the 63rd session of the General Conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in Vienna.

According to the information of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Austria, during the participation in the General Conference, the head of Uzbekistan delegation will make a presentation at the plenary session, as well as hold a number of bilateral meetings, in particular with the IAEA Director General Cornel Feruta, Director General of the World Nuclear Association Agneta Rising, Director-General of the OECD Nuclear Energy Agency William Magwood, heads of financial institutions and nuclear agencies.

Within the framework of the General Conference, on September 17, the Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan, the Uzatom Agency and the Embassy of Uzbekistan, together with Rosatom State Corporation, will organize an international workshop on development of nuclear energy in Uzbekistan. The leadership of the IAEA, heads of delegations of foreign countries and a number of recognized international experts in this field are expected to attend the workshop.
