Delegation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Dilshod Akhatov met with the Vice President of the Chamber of Deputies (lower house) of Parliament of the Czech Republic, Vojtech Filip.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, issues of further strengthening inter-parliamentary relations between the two countries were discussed at the meeting.
The Czech side positively assessed the large-scale transformations being carried out in Uzbekistan, in particular, measures for increasing the role of parliament and political parties in the country’s socio-political life.
Taking into account the upcoming elections to the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan in December this year, the readiness of the Czech side to provide practical support to measures in this direction by exchanging experience in parliamentarism was noted.
