Ministers of foreign affairs and justice, heads of national human rights institutions, parliamentarians, diplomats, representatives of civil society institutions are among the participants from more than 190 countries.

Human rights reports of Yemen, Burundi, Myanmar, Syria, Ukraine, Georgia and many other countries will be discussed at the 42nd session of the Council, which runs until September 27. Its participants will consider 90 thematic reports, as well as reports on the situation in individual countries.

Uzbekistan delegation held talks with Secretary of the Minister of External Affairs of India Vijay Singh, Executive Director of the Independent Permanent Human Rights Commission (IPHRC) of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Marghoob Saleem Butt and others. Issues related to holding of Tashkent workshop on youth rights in October were discussed.

Meetings were also held with the permanent representatives of Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Armenia at the UN Office and other international organizations.
