The head of Uzbekistan’s diplomatic mission to Canada Javlon Vakhabov informed in detail about the reforms and transformations in Uzbekistan under the leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the measures taken by the government of Uzbekistan to ensure macroeconomic stability and effective social support for the population during the global pandemic.

During the talks, views were exchanged on the current state and prospects for development of comprehensive Uzbekistan – Canadian cooperation in politics, economy and inter-parliamentary interaction.

Canadian legislators praised the progress achieved in Uzbekistan in the fight against coronavirus, as well as efforts on minimizing the socio-economic consequences of the global crisis.
