The parties exchanged views on cooperation in the field of ensuring freedom of conscience, interreligious and interfaith harmony. A positive assessment was given to measures taken by Uzbekistan on further ensuring freedom of conscience and religion.

The tasks for further strengthening freedom of conscience are reflected in the Action Strategy, which provides for the goals of ensuring security, interethnic harmony and religious tolerance, and implementing a balanced, mutually beneficial and constructive policy.

It was emphasized that the religion policy of Uzbekistan is focused on interfaith dialogue and provides for religious tolerance.

Following the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to continue the dialogue on the current issues of religious freedom.
