Textile Industry Week kicks off in Uzbekistan
On September 3, Textile Industry Week has started in Uzbekistan.
The first event within the framework of the Week became the opening of a factory in Uchkurgan district of Namangan region.
The enterprise has the capacity to produce more than 6 million pieces of finished products per year. More than 800 new jobs have been created here.
Within the framework of the Week, representatives of the state governing bodies and the textile industry will discuss current issues of import substitution, promotion and state support of the industry, development of international textile technologies, certification and scientific research in development of smart textile.
The organizer of the event is “Uztuqimachiliksanoat” (Uzbekistan Textile Industry) Association.
Within the framework of the Week, on September 4, Tashkent hosts Uzbekistan Textile Conference, dedicated to the latest trends in the textile industry.
