Tashkent to host international forum on social innovations
The international forum on “Innovation in social sector as important factor of social development” will be held in Tashkent on September 11. It will bring together the representatives of relevant ministries and departments, international experts, who will discuss pressing issues concerning the implementation of innovations in healthcare system, the establishment of international cooperation in innovation. The honored guest of the forum is Doctor Dieter Althaus, former Prime Minister of the Land of Thuringia, Germany, the Development Strategy Center reports.

The main objective of the forum, organized by the Development Strategy Center, the Ministry of Innovative Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Representative Office of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation in Uzbekistan, is to discuss the issues of rapid innovation-driven development of essential sectors in the economic and social areas, as well as the latest achievements in science, modern innovative ideas, developments and technologies. As part of the forum, the presentation will be held of the progress status of the State Program “Year of Supporting Active Entrepreneurship, Innovative Ideas and Technologies” and main reforms scheduled for implementation this year. 

The forum draws attention of representatives of various ministries and departments, international experts from around the world, as well as representatives of NGOs and public organizations. Doctor Dieter Althaus, Vice President of the European Office of Magna International, former Prime Minister of the Land of Thuringia, will make a presentation on “Innovations and economic transformations in the context of Germany”.

Doctor Dieter Althaus will visit Uzbekistan on September 10-15, and have meeting with the government officials to discuss the issues of economic cooperation and investment opportunities in Uzbekistan. He also plans to meet with the leadership of Uzavtosanoat JSC.
