Tashkent hosts Eco-Marathon
On March 15, Meros Public Trust Fund launches a large-scale YashilVatanim project on tree planting throughout Uzbekistan.
Meros Fund has already held several major campaigns in the capital and in the regions of Uzbekistan. The next project promises to be grand if a large part of the population joins it.
Within the framework of YashilVatanim project, plane trees, oaks, chestnut trees and others will be planted in all regions of Uzbekistan, in Muynak, Urgench, Navoi, Bukhara, Samarkand, Jizzakh, Gulistan, Shakhrisabz, Termez, Fergana, Kokand, Namangan, Andijan, Bekabad and Tashkent. Seedlings are purchased at the expense of the fund, various organizations and enterprises, which are important to maintain the ecological balance.
The eco-event has already started at social facilities in Tashkent. It is attended by volunteers, employees of the fund and organizations inspired by the initiative to increase green spaces.
