On November 15, 2019, Tashkent hosted a meeting of Central Asian foreign ministers within the framework of preparation for the upcoming Consultative Meeting of the Heads of Central Asian states.

Heads of foreign affairs agencies of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov, the Republic of Kazakhstan – Mukhtar Tleuberdi, the Kyrgyz Republic – Chingiz Aidarbekov, the Republic of Tajikistan - Sirojiddin Muhriddin and Turkmenistan – Rashid Meredov discussed the issues of development of regional cooperation and the preparations for the summit.

At the meeting, it was emphasized that thanks to the political will of the heads of state, a fundamentally new atmosphere of friendship, cooperation and mutual trust has been formed in Central Asia.

The ministers noted with satisfaction the dynamic growth in trade turnover, the intensification of work on development of transport and communication networks, the launch of new land and air routes connecting the countries of the region.

The parties considered the agenda of the upcoming November 29 Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia in Tashkent, which plans to include issues of trade, economic and investment cooperation, development of transport infrastructure, scientific, technical, cultural and humanitarian interaction.

The ministers, along with the draft summit document, discussed other planned solutions.
