This year, new elections are held in Uzbekistan, taking into account the recommendations of international organizations expressed over the years.

Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Tanzila Narbayeva visited the polling station No. 645. Becoming a direct participant in the electoral process, she voted for the candidate she considered worthy.

During the visit, the Senator talked with a group of foreign observers.

– Not only me, but also every citizen of Uzbekistan is not indifferent to the electoral process. The results of democratic reforms can be seen, felt and observed in all spheres of life and communities. People go to elections not as observers, but as active participants of this process.

This year's elections are held for the first time in accordance with the new Electoral Code, which unites laws in this area. During its development we took into account the recommendations of international organizations that have been expressed for many years. At the moment, this code fully complies with international standards.

Candidates who will be elected in the elections will mark the future progress of Uzbekistan. I hope, we will not be mistaken and will choose the worthiest. These deputies will make a great contribution to development of the country in the future.
