A Decree on measures for improving the social and spiritual atmosphere in society, further supporting the makhalla institute, as well as raising the system of working with families and women to a new level has been adopted.

On February 18, 2020, a Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on measures for improving the social and spiritual atmosphere in society, further supporting the makhalla institute, as well as raising the system of working with families and women to a new level was adopted.

In accordance with the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On civil society institutions”, interference of state bodies and their officials in the activities of civil society institutions is not allowed, state bodies create necessary conditions for the activities of civil society institutions, assist them in exercising the powers granted by the legislation.

According to the document, the proposal of the Republican Council for Coordinating the Activities of Civil Society Institutions, the Women’s Committee of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Nuroniy Fund for Supporting Public Activities of Uzbekistan Veterans and makhalla activists to introduce a new system based on the principle “Prosperous and safe makhalla” will be approved. The Ministry for Supporting Makhalla and Family of the Republic of Uzbekistan will also be formed.
