Seoul hosted public hearings on the intergovernmental Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between Uzbekistan and South Korea, which was attended by responsible heads of ministries and agencies, leading researchers, experts, representatives of the academic community and the Korean media.

The event was organized by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy of the Republic of Korea.

Leading experts representing Korea Institute for International Economic Policy, Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency, Korea Institute for Industrial Economics and Trade, Korea Energy Agency, Korea Automobile Manufacturers Association, Korea Textile Trade Association, Research Institute of Agriculture and Life Sciences and Korea University also supported the conclusion of an FTA.

Following the event, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy of the Republic of Korea, together with involved ministries, agencies and organizations, will form a corresponding report for submission to the South Korean parliament.
