An event dedicated to implementation of the second stage of Safe city concept was held in Termez.
Uzbekistan has introduced completely new system of maintaining public order, prevention of offenses and fight against crime that yields positive results in reliable protection of rights, freedoms and legitimate interests of citizens.
Close cooperation with state authorities and civil society institutions has been established in Surkhandarya region for preservation of public order, prevention of offenses and fight against crime. The number of crimes has significantly decreased, quality of ensuring people’s peace is improving. However, according to the analysis, offenses in regional centers, and in some cases, serious crimes are committed in the evening and at night. This requires law enforcement bodies to properly allocate available forces and resources during the day.
In order to improve the efficiency of public order, improve the quality of crime prevention and combat crime, necessary measures are being taken to gradually establish a round-the-clock patrol regime in the regional center. New system will allow to quickly influence, control and objectively assess the crime situation in the territory.
At the event, necessary instructions were given on car and scooter exploitation, ensuring public order during the night patrol.
