Samarkand hosts the traditional festival of friendship and culture “Uzbekistan – our common home”.

The event, organized by the Committee on Interethnic Relations and Friendly Ties with Foreign Countries under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan jointly with the Ministry of Culture, Tasviriy Oyina Creative Association, Samarkand region’s khokimiyat and other organizations, was attended by employees of national cultural centers, religious organizations and general public.

Within the framework of the festival, Tasviriy Oyina Creative Association presents exhibitions of photographs depicting the atmosphere of religious tolerance, interethnic harmony, friendship and peace in Uzbekistan, unique traditions and values, as well as national handicraft products and national costumes of national cultural centers of the region.

A roundtable discussion on “The role and importance of Action Strategy in strengthening interethnic and interfaith peace and harmony” was also held.

Within the framework of the event, meetings and evenings with representatives of different nationalities will be held in Kattakurgan and Urgut districts. A large concert program by art and folklore groups of national cultural centers of the region will also be held.
