Practical steps for strengthening business cooperation between Uzbekistan and Israel are outlined
Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Israel Said Rustamov met with the President of Israel-Asia Chamber of Commerce Matan Vilnai.
Israel-Asia Chamber of Commerce is a nonprofit organization which cooperates closely with its founders, which include Israel’s Ministries of Economy, Finance and Foreign Affairs as well as Israel’s leading economic organizations – The Manufacturers Association of Israel, The Israel Export & International Cooperation Institute and The Federation of Israeli Chambers of Commerce. The Chamber is active in most Asian countries, including countries with which Israel has no diplomatic relations, namely: China, Hong Kong, India, South Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Philippines, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar (Burma), Malaysia and Indonesia.
At the meeting, the sides discussed the expansion of Uzbekistan – Israel trade-economic and investment cooperation.
Taking into account the large-scale reforms carried out in Uzbekistan to liberalize economy, efforts on creating favorable conditions for foreign companies in terms of implementation of mutually beneficial projects in various spheres in the country, an agreement was reached on studying the issue on establishment of Israel – Uzbekistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Israel and establishing its close cooperation with Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan. It is expected that the parties will work together to promote economic potential of the country in Israel, assist in search and establishment of partnership between entrepreneurs of the two countries.
