Postal services of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan to launch joint projects

Kazakhstan delegation led by the Chairman of the Board of Kazpost JSC of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Saken Sarsenov, arrived in Tashkent.
The delegation met with the Deputy Minister for Development of Information Technologies and Communications of Uzbekistan Bakhrom Olmatov. The parties noted the great potential of bilateral cooperation in the postal sphere and exchanged views on prospects of expanding partnership in priority areas of mutual interest.
Bakhrom Olmatov informed about innovative projects being implemented in Uzbekistan in IT sector and plans of “Uzbekiston Pochtasi” JSC. He emphasized that in 2019 the indicators of postal services in the country increased by 15 percent compared to the same period last year.
Specialists of Kazpost JSC informed about the results achieved in electronic commerce, their company’s contribution to this, as well as measures taken by the postal service to build a business infrastructure at the local and international levels.
An agreement was reached on cooperation between “Uzbekiston Pochtasi” and Kazpost. It is planned to introduce in the region a system of operational services by courier and Hotmail, to develop electronic commerce.
