Over 70 thousand migrant workers returned to Uzbekistan over the past two months
On July 8, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev chaired a meeting on development of entrepreneurship and budget revenues.
The Minister of Employment and Labor Relations of the Republic of Uzbekistan Nozim Khusanov expressed his opinion on the issues discussed at the meeting:
– At the videoconference, it was emphasized that over 70 thousand migrant workers have returned over the past two months. There are also over 650 thousand graduates. The main task is to provide them with work.
The President outlined important tasks in this direction. First, helping entrepreneurs to create jobs. Instructions were given on business training and using grants.
Previously, the population was self-employed in 24 areas, now this figure has reached 67. To date, 47,300 citizens have been registered as self-employed, it was emphasized that before the end of the year, another 200,000 citizens must be employed in this area.
