Online conference on lockdown exit strategy
An online conference has been held between the National Chamber of Innovative Healthcare of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Robert Koch Institute on current issues related to the epidemic and the lockdown exit strategy. It was attended by almost 50 specialists.
The Robert Koch Institute during the pandemic provides Germany with the main recommendations on COVID-19. Based on them, in the regions of the country, each of which has the authority to make decisions independently, the situation is analyzed at places and quarantine measures are implemented.
As Chairman of the National Chamber Rovshan Izamov noted, Uzbekistan and Germany have extensive experience in confronting the COVID-19 pandemic. This made it possible to understand that timely quarantine measures and public awareness in many respects ease the consequences of the pandemic and minimize losses.
German experts explained the reasons for relatively low mortality in the country from COVID-19. In particular, mass testing gives a great effect. Almost 400 thousand people are tested for COVID-19 in Germany per week. In certain periods, this figure reached 800 thousand. But the Robert Koch Institute believes that 400 thousand is a sufficient level of testing for a population of up to 82 million people.
The parties agreed that the initiated cooperation of the National Chamber of Innovative Healthcare of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Robert Koch Institute will continue.
