The number of registered cases of coronavirus infection in Uzbekistan has reached 1778.

Head of the State Inspection of Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Chief State Sanitary Inspector of the country Nurmat Otabekov:

– The number of registered cases of coronavirus infection in Uzbekistan has reached 1778. According to the Scientific Research Institute of Virology, 30 out of 95 patients treated at the Institute's clinic have clinical symptoms of pneumonia, 3 patients’ condition is assessed as serious, and one’s is critical.

Two patients’ condition out of 75 treated at the Scientific Research Institute of Epidemiology, Microbiology and Infectious Diseases, is assessed as serious. 46 out of 151 patients treated at the Multidisciplinary Clinic of Tashkent Medical Academy have clinical symptoms of pneumonia, 4 patients’ condition is assessed as serious, and one’s is critical.

Quarantine measures continue. 561 citizens have fully recovered and transferred to rehabilitation centers. Recovery rate in Uzbekistan exceeds 32 percent, and the death rate is about 0.4 percent.
