Nurmat Otabekov: Coronavirus outbreak in Uzbekistan could have started before March 15
It is possible that the coronavirus appeared in Uzbekistan even before the “first patient” was identified in the country on March 15. This was stated by the Head of the State Inspection of Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance under the Cabinet of Ministers, Nurmat Otabekov.
“Let’s pay attention to one aspect. The first infected in Uzbekistan was registered on March 15, 2020. However, we do not deny that this disease may have appeared in our country earlier” Nurmat Otabekov said.
Specialists began to calculate the “epidemiological route” from the first identified patient with coronavirus, and statistics were generated based on this information.
