New project by KamolotAn event devoted to the conclusion of the “Technovation Challenge” project has been held in the youth palace of creativity of the capital city.
It was said at the event that work being carried out in this country to increase the social activeness of women and girls and to raise their status was producing great results.
This project was arranged by the Tashkent city council of the Kamolot public youth movement in cooperation with the Tashkent city hokimiyat (mayor’s office) and the women’s committee of the city. The project is directed towards broadly attracting female students to the sphere of information technologies.
As part of the project, more than 100 girls aged between 15 and 18 had their knowledge about the sphere of information and telecommunications tested. They presented their draft programs on the basis of experience gained from attending seminars and educational lessons with the participation of qualified specialists. This pilot project was favourably evaluated by experts.
Today Uzbek girls’ and women’s interest in technical sciences and information technologies is growing.
At the event, awards were given to participants who had won various nominations.
