On March 14, the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan held a meeting with members of the delegation led by the Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Air Products Seifi Ghasemi.

The Minister of Energy A.Sultanov noted that in accordance with the Action Strategy, transformations are being carried out in the energy sector of Uzbekistan, in particular, a new system for development and processing of underground resources is created, large-scale projects on attracting foreign investment are being implemented.

Within the framework of the event, Uzbekneftgaz and Air Products signed an Agreement on terms of establishing a joint venture for production of industrial gases and a Memorandum of Understanding on exploring the possibilities of organizing helium production from natural gas.

Cooperation with the US company will allow to establish production of products in Uzbekistan with high added value on the basis of natural gas processing.

Issues of establishing bilateral mutually beneficial cooperation were discussed during the conversation with the Chairman of the Board of Uzkimyosanoat JSC O.Temirov. An Agreement was reached on joint implementation of investment projects for construction of a plant for production of chemical products in Syrdarya region.

Members of the delegation of Air Products attended meetings and negotiations on expansion of partnership in investment, industry and production.
