A workshop on the project “National Strategy for Statistics Development 2020-2025” was held in Tashkent.

A workshop on the project “National Strategy for Statistics Development 2020-2025” was held in Tashkent with the support of the State Statistics Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the World Bank Group experts.

The workshop was attended by managers and staff of the committee, experts of the World Bank, representatives of ministries, agencies and the media.

Chairman of the Committee Bakhodir Begalov informed about the project “National Strategy for Statistics Development 2020-2025”.

It was noted that Strategy for Development of National Statistics was developed in international practice in many countries, with the help of the World Bank. It includes directions for development of all national statistics developers, ways of implementing medium-term reforms that affect both the organizational and institutional development of the country’s national statistical system.
