The State Statistics Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan, together with a group of experts from the World Bank, organized a workshop under the project “National Statistics Development Strategy for 2020-2025”, in Tashkent.

The State Statistics Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan, together with a group of experts from the World Bank, organized a workshop under the project “National Statistics Development Strategy for 2020-2025”, in Tashkent.

The workshop was attended by the sphere workers, representatives of authorized organizations, as well as foreign experts.

It was noted that the National Statistics Development Strategy, developed with the support of the World Bank, is a document contributing to both the organizational and institutional development of the system of national statistics.

Most importantly, this strategy will make it possible to rationally distribute the country’s material and financial resources, will fully reflect the socio-economic development of Uzbekistan in international information resources, as well as will also help strengthen Uzbekistan’s position in various international ratings. In particular, the strategy will lay the foundation for promoting Uzbekistan to high positions in the World Bank’s Statistical Capacity Index.
