“Monitoring of penitentiary institutions” training will be held in Uzbekistan on 3-7 September.

The event is organized by the National Human Rights Centre and the OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Uzbekistan. 

It will be attended by specialists of the National Human Rights Centre, representatives of law enforcement agencies and civil society institutions. 

The training is aimed at familiarizing with international and foreign experience in monitoring penitentiary and other closed institutions, obtaining necessary skills. Reports will be prepared following the trainings.

In accordance with the resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan adopted on 10 December 2018, the National Human Rights Centre of the Republic of Uzbekistan has the right to visit penal institutions, detention places and special reception facilities without hindrance.
