Tashkent hosts Uzbekistan – Russia Micro-Symposium on prospects of polymer science.
Vice President of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan, academician B.Ibrohimov, Director of the Institute of Polymer Chemistry and Physics of Uzbekistan Academy of Sciences, academician S.Rashidova and others noted that the present symposium together with defining prospects for the sector will also promote further strengthening of scientific cooperation between Uzbekistan and Russia.
The results of scientists’ activities of the two countries in polymers were summed up at the symposium.
Studying of manifestation mechanisms of formation process and special properties of structural systems of polymers using computer modeling, quantum and molecular mechanics methods were conducted at the institution for the first time along with traditional analytical approach, theoretical studies of computer modeling.
Participants also exchanged views on the theory and modeling of polymer systems, nanotechnology and new polymer materials, chemical modifications of synthetic and natural polymers, experience and problems of training qualified personnel in polymer science.
