First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Ilkhom Nematov met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Slovak Republic Jan Bory.

On December 5, 2019, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Ilkhom Nematov met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Slovak Republic Jan Bory, Uzbekistan MFA reports.

Views were exchanged on relations between Uzbekistan and Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), which currently chaired by Slovakia, as well as prospects for development of bilateral relations. In particular, results of implementation of the agreements reached during the official visit of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of Slovakia Miroslav Lajčák to Uzbekistan were considered.

Practical aspects of participation of representatives of Slovakia in the upcoming Elections to the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis and Local Councils in December 22 as international observers were considered.

The parties confirmed their interest in further development of Uzbekistan – Slovakia cooperation in political, inter-parliamentary, trade-economic, investment, tourism, cultural-humanitarian and other spheres, as well as discussed the schedule of joint activities for 2020.
