Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan Ismatulla Irgashev met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic, Isabelle Servoz-Gallucci.

On December 12, 2019, Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan Ismatulla Irgashev met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic, Isabelle Servoz-Gallucci, Uzbekistan MFA reports.

At the meeting, the efforts of Uzbekistan and France on launching a peaceful political process in Afghanistan, the priority areas of Uzbekistan’s policy on socio-economic development of Afghanistan, as well as the establishment of Uzbekistan – France cooperation on the issue of supporting the educational sphere of the IRA were discussed.

The French side highly appreciated the new regional policy of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev aimed at creating an atmosphere of mutual understanding and constructive cooperation in Central Asia, in particular, the efforts for economic reconstruction of Afghanistan and its involvement in regional integration processes.

An interest was expressed in participation of France in financing infrastructure projects implemented by Uzbekistan, including in training Afghan national personnel at the Education Center in Termez.
