Embassy of Uzbekistan in Malaysia, together with representatives of the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade, the Uzeltechsanoat Association, held virtual talks with the management of MEP Enviro Technology.

In order to initiate the implementation of an investment project for the disposal of E-waste in the country, the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Malaysia, together with representatives of the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade, the Uzeltechsanoat Association, held virtual talks with the management of MEP Enviro Technology.

Representatives of the Malaysian company welcomed the initiative of the Uzbek side and expressed interest in joint implementation of an investment project in processing out-of-service electrical appliances for production of raw materials, including precious metals, in order to ensure their secondary use in the production of high-tech products in the country.

The Malaysian side also noted that by recycling unusable devices, it is possible to produce products necessary for everyday use. This can not only save nature, but also contribute to the expansion of the range of more affordable goods.

Following the event, agreements were reached on establishing a dialogue between Uzeltechsanoat and the Malaysian company and organizing a visit of its leadership to the country as air traffic is opened for a detailed study of the conditions, opportunities and prospects for mutually beneficial cooperation.
