Laws are being studied broadlyIn the town of Namangan, a conference call has taken place on issues relating to explaining to the population the essence and significance of laws and resolutions approved at the tenth plenary session of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis (parliament) of the Republic of Uzbekistan and also large-scale reforms being implemented in this country.
At the session held in the video conferencing format, attended by officials of the region, towns and districts and deputies of local councils, there was discussion about the newest documents in the country’s legislation, amendments and additions that had been made and their results.
“The tenth plenary session of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis considered 21 issues directed towards raising the effectiveness of reforms being implemented in our country, the phased implementation of the Year of Dialogue with the People and Human Interests state programme and the 2017-2021 Action Strategy on five priority areas of the development of the Republic of Uzbekistan, specifically 7 laws. One of these laws was adopted in its new edition, amendments and additions were made to three effective laws, and three international documents were ratified. The laws adopted at the plenary session will serve as an important factor in the further strengthening of human rights and liberties, guaranteeing legitimate interests, raising the population’s living standards and strengthening stability and prosperity in our country,” says S.Nuriyev, the chief of the regional justice directorate.
At the session, there was discussion about explaining to the wider public the use of laws in social life and the effect of the novelties on increasing people’s law culture. There was an exchange of views on specific tasks in this sphere that are before deputies, officials and representatives of mass media.
The hokim (governor) of Namangan Region, H.Bozorov, made a speech at the session.
