Journalism Education for Sustainable Development
The second Central Asian international workshop was organized on this theme in cooperation with UNESCO Office in Uzbekistan, the Information Bureau of the United Nations Office in the Republic of Kazakhstan, the National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek and Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi.

The event, held at Mirzo Ulugbek National University of Uzbekistan, was dedicated to World Television Day, which was proclaimed by the UN General Assembly in 1996 and is annually celebrated on November 21.
Issues of academic cooperation of journalists in strengthening the Sustainable Development Goals, modern television technologies, and modernization of media educational programs were discussed at the workshop.
Undergraduates, doctoral students and scientists from the journalism faculties of the universities of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Karakalpakstan, as well as media representatives made their scientific reports and presentations on pressing issues of television theory and practice.
Following the event, the Charter of the Central Asian Universities Association on Journalism and Communication was signed.
