Dushanbe hosted a four-day training workshop for journalists on “Conflict sensitive journalism”.
This is the third training this year, organized by the Institute for War and Peace Reporting in Central Asia for journalists from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.
At the workshop, trainers from Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan informed about the legal aspects of international law, the principles of peacekeeping journalism, international standards for covering religious issues, conflict and sensitive topics, how not to violate anti-extremist law in the media and the Internet, typical mistakes and stereotypes in journalists’ materials.
Following the workshop, all participants were awarded certificates.
