On December 3-6, 2019, Beijing hosted inter-MFA Consultations of representatives of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the SCO Member States on inventory of the legal framework and other legal issues, Uzbekistan MFA reports.
The parties agreed on a draft Model Memorandum on the procedure of accession of a state observer to the international treaties of the SCO, discussed the new Regulations on observer status at the SCO, issues of improving the legal base of the SCO and exchanged views on progressive development and codification of international law, in particular on current topics studied by the International Law Commission of the United Nations.
The consultations were attended by representatives of legal services of MFA of India, Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
